“KCLC” Keres Children’s Language Center was designed for a montessori school for children 3-6 years old in the village of Cochiti Pueblo, New Mexico. The design was created to represent the creator (mother earth), in Keres she is called “YA”. She gave the Cochiti people life and gave them corn to grow and prosper from. The image of the children holding on to the corn as if they are being guided to understand the world they live in by the creator herself. The KCLC montessori school program is also taught in the Keres language.
